Pipa soloist FANG Jin-long is in Hong Kong now!
Mr. FANG participated in a performance at the City Hall tonight. He gave me a phone call this morning and kindly arranged a short meeting with me at the back stage of the City Hall before his performance. He demonstrated various finger skills and played songs of different traditional and national styles with his 5-string pipa. It was very impressive! Mr. FANG also shared with me his views on the promotion of pipa music and arts. I found that he is a very resourceful and energetic person. I enjoyed this 30 minutes meeting very much.
